How would you describe the current state of the snowboard market? What big developments, changes, challenges, and/or opportunities are you seeing and how is your brand navigating them?

It appears that the current snowboard market is ready for a fresh boot brand, and that’s precisely what we’re bringing to the table.

Following overall price increase, any positive developments with regards to manufacturing, sourcing, or logistics and the changes you’ve made? Are there any examples you can share of how your business pivoted effectively? What developments are you seeing with regards to product pricing?

We will have sufficient boots for all Bataleon dealers to participate in our upcoming boot launch season. This initiative reflects the culmination of our efforts over the past few years. We have actively pivoted our strategies to accommodate this venture, emphasizing effective coordination between manufacturing, sourcing, and logistics.

Will you be using any previously unseen materials (in outer shell, reinforcement, cushioning, support or grip) or construction methods? Any liner story or program you plan to highlight for 24/25?

We have incorporated premium components sourced from Vibram, Boa, and Thinsulate into our boot line. This addition is complemented by the same intelligent and aesthetically appealing design that has become synonymous with our boards and bindings.

What lacing systems are your main focus in 24/25 and why? Where does BOA fit in your overall strategy and focus?

Our primary emphasis lies on double BOA boots, although we have incorporated one lace option in response to the sustained demand for high-quality lace boots.

Please tell us about the dominant visual themes or patterns you plan to use in next year’s boot line (materials as well as colours)? Any interesting artist collabs or partnerships you have lined up? Which other footwear sectors or fashion trends do you follow that influence the line?

Bataleon’s creative director, Danny Kiebert, has infused his distinctive flair, familiar to all Bataleon enthusiasts. Anticipate a vibrant, playful boot collection, inspired by sneakers, setting itself apart from the multitude of black boots currently saturating the store displays.

Which part of your range are you investing in the most? Freestyle, freeride, all mountain, beginner…? Why?

As an all-mountain brand, we embrace everything from the park and piste to the powder, and this passion is vividly reflected in the products we craft.

What developments are you seeing with regards to product pricing?

Our focus is on providing high-quality, innovative products at price levels that ensure an exceptional riding experience. Recognizing that products below a certain price threshold often compromise on ride quality, we consciously steer clear of this segment of the market.

What are your top product marketing stories for next season?

This season, we’re thrilled to introduce the highly anticipated Bataleon boot line. With a vibrant, sneaker-inspired design and top-quality materials from industry leaders like Vibram and Boa, our boots promise unparalleled comfort and style, ensuring an exceptional riding experience for all snowboarders.
