Please tell us about your innovations for 2024?
In 2024, SeventyOne Percent will include in 4 new products an intelligent molecule activated by UV radiation, adapting to your UVA protection needs throughout the day. This smart molecule, ROKA SMART UV®,  activated by natural light, is adapting to your UVA protection needs for 8 hours. First to Market, this patented technology is exclusive to SeventyOne Percent in Europe. The main products for the Outdoor market will be:
The COOL KIDS – Sun Fluid: The Cool Kids’ Very High Protection Sun Fluid from 1 to 99 years old without compromising on effectiveness and pleasure. Its invisible finish allows for easy application and a natural result. Its skin-friendly formula is tested non-toxic for algae and corals with the E-Toxi Safe Label (independant). Its fluid texture penetrates quickly and leaves a soft scent of island vanilla. As Every sun protection products in our range it is also VERY Water Resistant.
SIREN’s SECRET- UV Defense Hair Oil:
UV protective oil is a multi-purpose care that adapts to all hair types, including colored hair.

  • protects your hair from external aggressions: The oil forms a protective film on the hair, which protects it from heat, sun, pollution, etc.
  • Protects the color of your hair : ROKA technology provides long-lasting UVA protection (8 hours)
  • Hydrates and nourishes your hair : Natural ingredients hydrate and nourish the hair deeply, giving it back softness and shine.
  • Smoothes frizz : Helps to tame frizz and get a smoother and silkier hair.

A protective hair oil has been asked from our customers for years and we are now delivering a technical and sensorial solution with a major innovation.

What are the main ingredients you are using and how do you address sustainability/eco friendliness in your products?
To provide High Performance Sun Care, we have 3 key principles for all our products:
1 – Formulated for outdoor sports:
Very high to high protection SPF50+ to SPF30 – Very Water/sweat resistant -No stinging in the eyes – Mix of only clean sun filters: Minerals-Organics – Broad spectrum -Nomadic packs easy to cary and use
2 – Beyond UVB:
80 to 90% of skin problems come from sun exposure (Aging, Hyper Pygmentation, Cancer… ) Ultraviolet radiation (UVR) are responsible for it mainly through UVA (about 95% of the UV radiation we receive), however most brands only focus on UVB.
3 – Limited Impact on the environment:
Formula: 80 to 100% Natural: we always choose natural ingredients first but will consider alternatives if better for our consumers and/or the environment. Developped by eco expert and tested /validated by Eco tox lab (and sports people!)
Packaging: the 3 R’s
Reduce: remove overpacks and Reduce thickness of plastic
Recycle: chose monomaterial to help recyclability
Reuse: minimum 50% recycled plastic

Please tell us about your marketing campaign for 2024?
2024 is a very important year for the brand as we are bringing a breakthrough innovation to the sun care category with a new long lasting UVA protection. We are formulating our new products with a patented technology called ROKA Smart UV® that provides a long lasting photo adaptation UVA protection. We will communicate through a PR and Digital campaign called “ Sunshine State of Mind”

How is your product relevant for the boardsports industry? Do you specifically target action sports clients?
This is where we started in 2009, pioneering Outdoor and surfing technical and engage sun care. The board sport industry is in our DNA and we will always push our innovations to stick to the most demanding clients that are Outdoor lovers regarding technical products.

What other benefits, apart from sun protection, does your product offer?
We offer a range of products that protect and/or hydrate your skin whilst limiting the impact on the environment.
