Horsefeathers Snow Goggles F/W 2026/27 Preview
Retail Buyers Guide: Snow Goggles F/W 2026/27 Retail Buyer’s Guide
Brand: Horsefeathers
Interviewee: Tomáš Koudela, Head of Marketing
Which goggles sold best in the winter 2024/2025 and why?
Overall, cylindrical goggles sold best—both with standard lenses and magnetic lens systems. Core/community riders tend to go for more visible frames, while the mainstream customer leans more towards frameless / minimal-frame looks.
Which of your 2025/2026 goggles do you expect to perform best at retail and why?
Long-term, our bestsellers are Edmond in the more affordable segment, and Colt in the magnetic category—both frameless, cylindrical styles. This season we introduced Lynx with a bigger field of view, and early sales are already hinting it can quickly take the #1 spot. It’s also the team’s favorite goggle. The second new drop, Huck, is built for smaller faces (or anyone who wants a more visible frame) and can work great for kids too—basically a perfect addition that rounds out the whole range.
Are there any observable trends in the practice of snowboarding that impact product demand and development?
Yes—different riding styles push different goggle choices. Park and crew riding often leans into cylindrical shapes and a more visible frame as part of the look, while freeride/all-mountain riders care more about maximum field of view, all-day comfort with a helmet, and reliable performance in changing conditions. Overall, demand keeps growing for fast lens swaps (magnetic), a low-light lens included, and strong anti-fog, because a lot of riders mix park laps and “all conditions” in the same day.
What are the highlights in frame construction and materials of your 2026/27 collection?
On the frame side, our focus is on a dialed venting system, triple-layer face foam, and a fixed strap to keep everything problem-free. Each model has its own frame design that matches its vibe—from fully visible frames, through semi-visible and slim looks, all the way to hidden-frame styles.
What are the highlights in lens technology in your 2026/27 goggle collection?
We work with both cylindrical and toric lenses—toric lenses gives you a nice mix of the benefits from cylindrical and spherical shapes. All of our lenses come with 100% UV protection and anti-fog treatment. On our magnetic systems, we test hard with our riders—dialing the magnet strength and how the lens behaves while riding, so it stays locked and stable, but still swaps out easily when you need it.
What colours, prints or patterns are you featuring in your 2026/27 collection?
Our sales backbone is black or white frames paired with mirror red or mirror green lenses. At the same time, we colour-match goggles to the outerwear trends—this season especially Storm / Mirror Red, Lila / Mirror Pink Smoke, Aurora / Mirror Blue, and on Scout Black / Mirror Blue. With the overall black trend, Black frame + Smoke lens is a must.
Which goggles from your 2026/2027 collection do you expect the most growth from and why?
We’ve got big expectations for the new Feston and Tarpe, plus the already proven Lynx. For customers looking for a lower price point, Edmond is the clear bestseller. With a very competitive price we still deliver a high-quality goggle, and we add real value in the box too: a hard case, a cloth bag that doubles as a lens wipe, and low-light lenses. That’s why we expect sales to keep growing across the whole range.
How are you implementing sustainability in your products and production processes?
Similar to our outerwear approach, the main focus is building a product that serves the rider well for a long time—that’s where we see the biggest sustainability impact. At the same time, we work with long-term partners who take a responsible approach to production, so we can keep quality and consistency on point.
How are you helping retailers to sell this category?
Besides in-store POS support, we back our goggle program with our key riders and ambassadors—Ethan Morgan, Steve Gruber, Zenja Potapov, Eiki Helgason, and now also Halldor Helgason. We run dedicated goggle campaigns with them, so retailers get real team proof, not just product talk. Add a hard case, a bag that works as a lens wipe, a free low-light lens, plus strong quality at a super competitive price—that’s a really easy story to sell on the shop floor.
