Retail Buyers Guide:  Womens Snow Outerwear 2022/23 Retail Buyer’s Guide
Brand:  ROXY
Interviewee: N/A

Please provide an overview of how 2021/22 is shaping up for your brand. Has COVID-19 affected your line? If so, please explain the changes you have made, and how you came to these decisions?
It is obvious that this pandemic has forced us to take unusual decisions. As soon as we learned that the ski resorts would not open in Europe last winter, we decided to review our buying strategy. The idea was not to create too much stock and to arrive this winter with a fresh new collection. The frustration of last winter made everyone rush to book their vacations for this winter. We can only hope for a winter of madness!

What is the overall theme behind your FW 22/23 outerwear range? From which big trends do you take your inspiration?
We look at many trends as we have a versatile collection but the one theme that covers all no matter what is the belief that when you feel great and confident in what you wearing you are going to ride great.
A big inspiration this year has been our Roxy heritage, the Roxy life capsule nods to the vintage 90’s early 00’s trend going on, taking inspiration from our past ranges and updating them with fresh colour and modern performance technology.
The Chloe Kim range was designed with a huge imput from her. She loves the soft pastels you also see dotted through the main range and combined with the strong unexpected red. The fits are also going towards a more oversized looser look, which is definitely a trend we see growing in the snow market

What new fits / silhouettes are coming out in FW 22/23? What pant and jacket styles are most important in your range?
We are proud of our new Snow collection which has received very good feedbacks from the sales force as well as our Retail and our Ecom.
We have integrated more oversized/ relaxed fit into our range and we are proposing new anoraks.

Here are 2 jackets important in our snow range:
Our Snowblizzard JK which is replacing our historical Snowstorm JK, is a strong franchise style that will be available in 3 x colorways. This is a slim 15K puffy jacket made with mechanical stretch panel to bring more ease in the movements and designed for skiers. The thermoplume eco Primaloft insulation will keep you warm during all your riding sessions.
The Presence parka available with one of our strongest Roxy DNA print of the collection & also available in 2 x other solid textured fabric is a strong hybrid style. This one is a 10k dryflight technology. And as per many of our jacket, there is the hydrosmart technology integrated in the collar that will take care of your chin

What new colours / prints are you introducing?
This year we have an update in our more feminine colour shades introducing a soft purple lilac into the mix which works really well combined with Black as on the pureline Goretex jacket, We have a great new strong street colour in the form of honey, works well in blocking and all over. And an eyecatching bold red in the form of lychee brings some unexpected pop to Chloe kim range.
For prints we have worked hard to ensure we have a strong mix of , not just florals but also sporty abstracts

Any *NEW* technical innovations being introduced to the line?
We have extended our Warmlink innovating heating panel technology to other products of the range as per gloves/ mittens, a base layer top and an external accessory, a belt that you can wear under any snow jacket or above any layer. You can use it to get warm for any outdoor practice or even at home relaxing in your sofa For better finishes, we have added a system to fix perfectly the belt into most of our jacket offer

Any trends that your brand is moving away from?
We are moving away from all over printed jackets and focusing more on bringing interest through trim details, colour blocking and fabric interest.

What are your top marketing stories for FW 22/23? This will help us to put some focus in the right place.
Till now our award-winning technology integrates a controllable heating panel into your snow & cold weather jackets. This year we go forward, and we include additional garments to keep you warm & ride in comfort.

On the top of the pyramid, we are happy to present our new Goretex tailored shape, the Goretex stretch purelines Jacket. The jacket has a trendy look with nice blocks, on-trend easter egg color and a new generation perforated branding at collar. But also, a technical look with the asymmetrical zip. The Insulation is a PrimaLoft[R] Black Insulation 100% Eco [Fill weight: 60g]
Part of our Chloé Kim capsule, we have a very nice Chloe Kim overhead Jacket. Anoraks are especially on trend at the time, so this jacket will be one of the most have. We are proposing a very nice eye-catching lychee colorway with an oversized ROXY print branding at back and also a pastel marble print. The fit is regular long and we have a 15K rating with DWR PFC free treatment for waterproofing. This jacket has been fully inspired by our athlete and adapted to her practice.
At the lower part of our price pyramid, we have introduced a new colorblocked jacket, PEAKSIDE JK. The design of the blocks make the jacket really fresh and new. This is a tailored fit and the insulation is 10K with a DWR PFC free treatment.
