How has Covid affected your SS21 range’s development & production? (delays/range cancellations/carry over…)
As we had a massive delay in production and shipping, we placed our first order a lot earlier than we would have normally done in case there is a second lockdown during winter.
Do you have any feedback regarding the post lockdown sales at a retailer’s level?
As most brands had a delay in production and shipping there were literally no boards left on the market. This lead to the event that most containers that were ordered were almost sold even before they arrived.
With PaddleExpo and all the tradeshows cancelled in 2020, how will you connect with distributors and retailers to market the SS21 products?
We will focus a lot more on social media, as for a brand like YOLO Board it is still the most successful marketing channel, no matter whether retailers or end customer.
Any change to report in the bestselling SUP categories? (allround vs touring/race/waves/river/downwind/foiling…)
In general, I would say there was another upswing for allround boards as this year a lot more people were looking for a new sport/free time activity and hence a lot of beginners entered the market.
Inflatables: Which new technologies & models are you implementing in 2021?
After the great success of the TR 12’6 inflatable, the board will also be available in 14’ and as usual there will many new breathtaking designs.
Hardboards: Which new technologies & models are you implementing in 2021?
Our bestselling design hardboards will get a little more volume in order to increase the maximum rider weight and we will also have more design boards in 12’.
